A Warm 2017According to the annual international State of the Climate report that was released on August 1, 2018, 2017 was Earth’s third warmest year on record, just behind 2016, and 2015.
The State of the Climate report also described record-high greenhouse gases concentrations and also mentions rises in sea levels in 2017.
The report is an international, peer-reviewed publication that is based on contributions from over 500 scientists in 65 countries around the world, providing detailed updates on global climate indicators and data collected by environmental instruments and monitoring stations on land water and ice and in space.
